Loving the niche subjects. Keep it up!

I don’t play magic (I’ve played but lack math skills and in general am more of a tabletop nerd than tcg one) but have always loved the lore and art; and especially the color pie philosophy part of magic. So color me happily surprised when I found an exceedingly entertaining podcast on just that topic. The host is actually funny (I say it that way bc while many podcasters come from a comedy background their ability to make entertaining stuff with repeat listening ability is rare in my limited experience or for my taste in comedy), the guest are phenomenally passionate about their special interests and magic, and the general fun in the show have made it a regular rotation in the work podcast selection. Wanted to include a review from a less franchised listener that you don’t need to be a long time mtg player to appreciate this pod

Miss Rachel, but loving the new episodes. Hope to see more color breakdowns and flavor focuses. Also the new logo is killer!

I miss Rachel and the pod was entertaining but these past 3 solo shorts have been phenomenal. Dan + Rachel was funny. Dan by himself produces elegant essays with deep insight into the game.

This is absolutely the dampest podcast, love it

I thought this podcast was going to be about fellow commanders and our fears. Turns out it's about gathering magic and their orbs. That's good, too.

Far and away my favorite magic podcast. The conversations are unique but still tied to magic. Dan and Rachel are hilarious. And I will forever quote, “Sometimes you’re the tater, sometimes you’re the tatee.”

I enjoy listening to the podcast and have done so for a couple of months. Overall I enjoy the wacky episodes, randomness and the prolonged investment into jokes. However I would suggest leaving out the rants about politics, business, etc. I understand it can be hard but I listen to this podcast for MTG content, not rants about business.

They defame people by calling them anti vax, when it’s not the case. Liars. The Covid vax is not necessary for everyone, only fat people and old people.

I saw some salty pigs in the reviews here and decided to rate and follow even if I don’t wind up listening lol. Mmmm look at that bacon cook haha.

I'm a very competitive Magic player. Before the pandemic, I would travel to large tournaments and try to qualify for the pro tour. In the MtG community online, I sometimes found people who claimed to be "casual" players disparaging me and my play experience. I really appreciate that while Rachel and Dan are 100% casuals, they are also 100% not jerks. They explain how to approach Magic from a perspective of maximizing everyone's enjoyment of the game without players having to kneecap themselves. I also really enjoy the sounds of cans of beer being opened next to the mic, and this podcast scratches that it REAL good.

This is definitely my favorite MtG EDH podcast (and I listen to way too many), and honestly one of my favorite podcasts overall. The two hosts Rachel and Dan are hysterical, engaging, and perfectly blend interesting content with also feeling like a casual hangout with friends. I would highly recommend also supporting them on Patreon as access to their Discord is more than worth it.

Dan and Rachel have maybe some of best edh insight out there. Come for the jokes and play philosophy, stay for the many many tangents. Great show

Silly personalities, so much fun, knowledgeable and entertaining.

I absolutely loved this podcast! Saw Rachel on game nights and started following on Spotify. I was disappointed to hear such hatred towards police officers. I am a cop and absolutely play magic. I love my job and I love helping people. But I see horrific things I wish I didn’t have to in order to help those people. Magic is where I come to get away from that and enjoy time with my friends and family. I respect your political beliefs. But please direct that kind of rhetoric at specific people who deserve it, and not just level at a whole group of people. I was bullied as a kid for looking different. My dream was to be a cop to help people who couldn’t help themselves and to stand up to that kind of thing. Hearing awesome people talk about the game I love so much and then take a random, flippant and unnecessary shot at people like me is just disappointing. And just so we’re clear, my scion of the ur dragon deck is my favorite. Cops 100% play dragons.

Our policemen and policewomen don’t deserve raises?! I bet you two would be the first to call the police of you were involved in an incident. Funny thing is you two will sit there and degrade our police officers, but they would be the first to put their life on the line for yours. I've never really agreed with your podcast but I like M:TG content, so I stomached it. Not anymore.

This is my favorite MTG podcast. I love the care and knowledge they take to the show and the game.

These two have amazing chemistry as a podcast duo and every episode makes me want more!!!! Love commander sphere.

These two are so funny! I love how every episode I have listened to has made laugh out loud, and I listened to them all! Please make more forever!

Love what they do and I have been inspired by the idea of lasagna-tier edh. The one issue I have is that there is a HUGE volume disparity between the two hosts. Either Dan’s voice is much too soft or Rachel’s is too loud.

Decided to check this out after watching Rachel on Game Knights. This show has quickly become one of my favorite podcasts. A lighthearted take on commander. Just how I like to play. Rachel and Dan don’t take themselves or the game too seriously. A lot of players could learn from them.

I look forward to this podcast every week, super funny and very entertaining! Give it a listen and you’ll be hooked like me!

I finally started listening after Rachel was a guest with Zack & Joe & I’m totally hooked. Hilarious, laid back take on edh I find refreshing. If you enjoy CCO or Legendary Creature, you’ll be right at home here

... which should be an indication of how much I like this podcast. This is a fun, casual EDH podcast. The hosts are talented, funny, professional comedians with such great chemistry, that my wife asked me if they’re a married couple (she was disappointed to learn that they’re not). If you play Magic, because you just enjoy “playing” Magic then I would highly recommend them.

This is such a great podcast for those who play commander for fun. Lots of jokes and fun while talking commander
